TOEFL stands for Test of English as a Foreign Language.
Having an international degree in today’s competitive world, adds an extra charm to a candidate’s personality. It not only opens up new horizon but also enhances the person’s employment opportunities. Over the years, it has been observed that there are many people who start catching flights to foreign countries, with an aim of achieving an international degree; be it in Engineering, Medical or Management. But, getting admission in any of the foreign universities is not as easy as it sounds. One has to go through few entrance exams, serving as prerequisites for admission to the foreign universities.
TOEFL exam is one of such exams, which is conducted every year to judge the comprehensive understanding of English as a language among those students who wish to pursue higher education in foreign countries. The exam is taken to test reading, listening, speaking and writing skills of aspiring students. It’s an online exam that is offered 30 to 40 times a year. TOEFL exam is conducted in online as well as offline mode. However, people generally opt for internet based test. Currently, 8,500 colleges and universities scattered over 130 countries, use TOEFL exam’s score.
